Next Regular Meeting

Friday 3 February 2020

at Harrow District Masonic Centre

Worshipful Brother Peter Binstead

Peter was installed Master of Ruislip St Martin’s Lodge for the year commencing 15 November 2019, succeeding W Bro Peter Jones, who stepped down after three years in the Chair.

W Bro Peter Binstead was previously Master of the Lodge in 2007. Peter subsequently worked tirelessly as Charity Steward, raising money from members, and from various Grand Lodge funds, to support Lodge charity projects small and large.

Peter has been largely responsible for ensuring Ruislip St Martin’s Lodge meets the target  of £20,000 to reach the Patron status in the Grand Lodge of Middlesex 2020 Charity Appeal.

Worshipful Brother Peter Jones

Worshipful Brother Peter, who has stood down after three years as Master of Ruislip St Martin’s Lodge, moves to the allegedly less stressful post as Immediate Past Master (IPM).

During his three years, with the assistance of many senior brethren, he has managed Ceremonies which included some nine Initiations, eleven Passings, three Raisings, and three admissions of Members from other lodges.

Not to be outdone, W Bro Peter Jones has now assumed the office of Secretary of Ruislip St Martin’s Lodge - a serious new challenge - fortunately however retaining the clerical skills of our previous Secretary W Bro Nick Grossman, who remains as Asst. Secretary.

Brunel Freshers FairW Bros Richard Alliston and Nick Grossman, accompanied by Bro Billy Maddox attended this busy September 2019 event in conjunction with HFAF (Women’s Freemasonry).  Twenty students put their names down for further contact, three of whom have already responded.

We are seriously short of senior brethren from the lodge to take matters further

and interview potential candidates.

The Wheelpower/Brunel Sports Day - The June 2019 was bigger and better, involving local schools this year.  This follows the Lodge’s introduction of Wheelpower to Brunel in 2018.
